fringey top five drummers*

  • Nick from the Kaisers, writes all the songs but is happy to play the straight man to Rickys limelight hog.

  • Michael Tapper - We Are Scientists. Our fav beardy bloke and he's a drummer whos actual name is "Tapper". You couldn't make it up.

  • Mikey B - Art Brut. He drums! Standing Up! That's proper talent that is.

  • Sebastian Grainger - DFA 1979. He drums AND does lead vocals. That's proper talent that is. (and have you seen him with his shirt off??)

  • Andy Williams - Doves. Like a tazmanian devil who's forgotten to renew his prescription of Ritalin. And he pulls the best drum faces in the business. Also proficient in harmonica.

*(that fringey have actually seen in action, so Keith Moon and Charlie Watts etc are, unfortunately, excluded!)

Fringey's top five New Year Resolutions

As the New Year begins so the time has come for Fringey to turn over a new leaf and make some resolutions. So from now on there will be no more gig-going on week nights, no more dancing till dawn, no more stalking of famos, no more drinking of gin...

Ha ha ha ha only joking, "no more gin' don't be ridiculous! Fringey shall of course promise to do all of the above more than ever in 2006 plus this little lot too...

*To find seminal, early 90's DJ Andy Anorak and ressurrect his career.

*To always take the opportunity to give a cheeky wink to any cute boys nearby, (unless we think it might be intercepted by an ugger, in which case best not chance it.) .

* To get on at least one guest list without being a plus one.

* To collect enough famos to start our own zoo.

* To bring about world peace and/or get knighthoods.
